1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce

1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider veloce

Engine: AR00106*01234

This is a genuine veloce version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider. It is a matching number car with long term ownership and is included in the Alfa Veloce Registry. The prior owner
purchased the car in 1976 and kept it for 35 years!

This Giulietta is the more desirable European version with metric gauges and euro side lights. It was sold new in Rome. Notice the Italian plates, which have been nicely restored.

Body is in excellent rust free condition. Most of the chrome has been done and is in very good condition. Body gaps are superb! Interior is nice with new door panels and wool carpets. Soft top is very good. Paint is in good driver quality with just a couple of small paint defects (see last two photos in the collage). Spare tire is the original Pirelli, which is not safe for use but interesting to have. Included the original jack and lug nut wrench. Also included is are original tools in very nice condition plus receipts and other interesting paperwork. It even comes with its original owner's manual and storage pouch.

According the Alfa Romeo archives the car was originally graphite grey with red interior; The car was already white when the prior owner bought it in 1976 therefore either someone
changed the car very early in the car's life or the archives are wrong. The engine compartment was always black as no color was found inside the engine bay. Recently I was able to verify this when I replaced the original model id tag which still had the factory rivets, the color behind the tag was black.

The engine was rebuilt in 1978 and still runs very good. Some of the gauges are erratic but after owning another Giulietta this seems to be rather common. Turn signals headlights and wipers are in working condition. This is a good driver quality Giulietta spider veloce and not a trailer queen but if you ever wanted to make it into a show quality car you already have all the very hard to find pieces.

I am not an Alfa expert but I will try to answer questions as best as I can. Let me know if you need additional photos of specific areas..
