This is a Euro spec Bora with only 34K miles in the desirable fly yellow/black color combo. Very few Euro specs Bora came to the USA. Enjoy the Bora the way it was designed ... no smog equipment, the attractive integrated metal bumpers and the Euro steering wheel.
Interior: The seats and carpeting are original and in very good condition, There is an area around the gear shift where the leather on the center console top is wrinkled, this would be easy to repair (see photo). All gauges (including the clock) are in working order, the AC is not blowing cold but everything is there and connected. Electric antenna and power windows work well. Competition seat belts have been added, which given how fast a Bora can go is not a bad idea! Original Blaupunkt radio. Dash top is in very good condition.
Body: Excellent. Shows no signs of prior rust or accidents, panel fit is very good. The paint is smooth and shiny There is a small paint scuff about the size of a quarter on the lower rear right fender (see photo). Stainless steel top is in excellent condition. The glass and chrome are in very good condition. Overall the car looks very good.
Mechanicals: The car runs great! This was the personal car of Jacques Pozzo di Borgo, who is a well known Maserati parts supplier located in California. You can check out his website at www.maseratisource.com. According to Jacques the following was done during his ownership. New top end, head gaskets/valves, guides, rebuilt the calipers, rebuilt rack, rebuilt front end and aligned it, new wires, new cap,new rotor, new filter, new pads, new front suspension bushings, new rubber steering coupler, new belts, thermostat, hoses, new front knuckle outer bearings, new main hydraulic pump, new rocker switches. It was a very low mileage car when he purchased it in 1999 and he put approximately 10,000 miles during his ownership.
Overall this is a honest "no stories" Bora with a good known history. Ideal for the person looking for a driver friendly car and not a trailer queen.
