1969 Jaguar e-type series 2 Roadster

Engine: 4.2 liter inline 6. Was rebuilt less than 10K miles ago. Good oil pressure and compression. The following readings were taken with engine warm and throttle open

  • 1 - 150psi
  • 2 - 150psi
  • 3 - 140psi
  • 4 - 140psi
  • 5 - 145psi
  • 6 - 150psi

Mileage: Odometer reads 7200 miles which is not total mileage as it was rebuilt several years ago. Prior to rebuilt the odometer reading was approximately 55K miles.

Paint: Car was completely stripped to bare metal and painted Regency Red (original color) with Glasurite polyurethane about 10 years ago. Paint still looks very good and has a deep gloss.

Interior: The interior was completely redone using the proper material and in its original beige color. Leather is in excellent condition with no rips or cuts.

Cooling system: Cooling system was flushed and coolant replaced. Electric radiator fans have been upgraded to the type used on the V12 e-types. All the major cooling hoses were just replaced.

Instruments and accessories: All gauges and switches are working properly, including the clock. The radio is an original Phillips AM/FM/SW. The air conditioner was just serviced and new hoses installed, new dryer and expansion valve. The system was converted to 134a as the older R12 is becoming impossible to obtain.

Ignition system: The standard Lucas points and condenser system was upgraded to an electronic breakerless system thus eliminating one of the e-types weak points. With the electronic ignition, timing is much more accurate and the car will run properly even if it rains!

Tires/Wheels: All five wire wheels are in excellent condition. They were replaced during the restoration and upgraded to stainless steel spokes. The tires are Dunlop SP Sport 185x15, these are identical to the original tires on the car.

Transmission and clutch: The 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly with all synchros working properly.

Exhaust: In very good condition, rear chrome mufflers were just replaced..

Brakes: Calipers were rebuilt with new pistons and sleeves. The brake system was just flushed and brake pads checked.

Documentation: Owner's manual and pouch is included. Includes many receipts from the original restoration. Also included is a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Certificate which documents the serial numbers and original color combination. There are several Jaguar Concourse D'Elegance results ... in 1995 it scored 99.54 and in 1996 it scored 99.72

Tools: Rare tool roll (this was optional on series 2 cars), knock off adapter, knock off hammer, jack with bag

Extras: Factory removable hard top. Top has been painted but needs a headliner and rear back Plexiglas. The hardtop is actually a nice option as the car looks good with the top on and they provide much better weather protection than the soft top.
