Matching numbers, 42K miles, 4-speed, V12 engine, AC, factory hard top, wire wheels.
This V12 e-type roadster came out of a long term storage. The car is blue-grey metallic, very similar to the Titanium color found on modern Jaguars. It was originally dark blue. I must say that this Jaguar looks very elegant in this color. Odometer only shows 42K miles and is most likely accurate. Comes with the most desirable set of options .... the manual 4-speed gearbox, air conditioner, wire wheels and the factory hardtop. I am selling this car with a low reserve.
Spare tire is the original Dunlop which has seen very little use. Spare chrome wire wheel still has the protective grease. Engine is original to the car and number matches the data plate. Engine has excellent oil pressure and temperature runs cool. Interior is quite nice for the age of the car with not tears on the leather or the dash. Leather is a little dry but should come back with leather softener. Soft top is very good with a clear rear window. All gauges, including the clock, are in working order.
Rare factory hardtop is included! Hardtop is in very good condition with good headliner and rear Plexiglas; and the impossible to find rear window chrome. The top is silver and could use paint. Originally all hardtops were black but sometimes people paint them other colors. Car runs, drives and stops but would benefit from a tune up as the carbs appear to be running rich. Since the car has been in storage, I would suggest servicing the brakes, suspension, cooling system, etc. There is some shuttering when accelerating from first gear, probably caused by an engine or transmission mount that needs to be replaced. Gearbox itself shift very good.
Body is straight with very good gaps and there are no rust bubbles on the paint or signs or prior accidents. Chrome and paint are good for a driver. Undercarriage and exhaust seems to be fine.
Comes with factory hard top, trunk luggage rack, front bumper guard, owner's manual, jack, knock off hammer and knock off tool.
